Manage the production of pipes and fittings safely and efficiently, hitting targets with minimal waste while meeting quality and client specs. The role involves supervising the production process and machinery, monitoring raw material usage, logging data in BAAN, and coordinating with maintenance, store, and QC teams, as well as leading production staff and championing a strong safety culture.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
2–3 years of manufacturing experience (fiberglass preferred)
Knowledge of pipe machinery, production processes, product specifications, and materials handling (hazards, shelf life, storage, resin mixing)
Familiarity with QA/QC processes and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Manufacturing
Supervise the production process to ensure finished products meet quality standards and client specifications
Monitor raw material usage to minimize waste
Oversee the use of machinery across all stations to maximize output and efficiency
Ensure all materials and hours are logged in BAAN, and close orders once products are delivered to final stock
Liaison & Coordination
Coordinate with maintenance to ensure maximum machinery availability
Work with the store to ensure raw materials are available to meet the production schedule
Liaise with technical staff on any issues affecting manufacturing or delivery
Coordinate with QC to ensure products are tested, labelled, released and identify defects with corrective actions
Leadership & HSE
Promote employee engagement, conduct performance appraisals, and set team objectives
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE policies
Participate in QHSE audits, incident reporting, and keep production stations clean and safe
Competencies

Have a strong understanding of Supply Chain Management System.
Ability to analyze data, identify quality issues, and propose corrective actions.
Have good computer literacy and be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Understand and have an interest in the Automotive Manufacturing Process.

Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer forecasts/POs and machining line capacity (CNC, turning, milling)
Calculate material requirements (raw material, tooling, consumables) based on BOM and production plan
Monitor and control raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory to avoid overstock/stockout
Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely material delivery from suppliers based on lead time
Manage customer delivery schedules and ensure on-time shipment per PO/contract
Handle schedule changes, rush orders, and demand fluctuations from customers
Prepare production and inventory reports (output vs plan, delivery achievement, stock aging)
Analyze root causes of delays and propose corrective actions
Support continuous improvement initiatives (lead time reduction, WIP minimization, lean/JIT practices)
Ensure PPIC processes align with ERP/MRP system for accurate planning
