To be qualified for this role you should:
1. Hold (or be in the final year of) a degree in Petroleum Engineering, Earth Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
2. Have a basic understanding of drilling operations, well planning, formation evaluation, and subsurface interpretation.
3. Be comfortable working with both drilling and geoscience data.
4. Possess strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
5. Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (drilling, geoscience, contractors, service providers).
6. Show eagerness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement.

As a Drilling Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for:
1. Assisting in drilling program design (well trajectory, casing, drilling fluids, etc) to ensure alignment with geological and reservoir objectives.
2. Supporting feasibility studies, due diligence, and project evaluations, working closely with geoscientists and subsurface teams to integrate drilling and geoscience perspectives.
3. Analyzing operational and offset well data to identify performance improvements, assess risks, and optimize project economics.
4. Monitoring real-time drilling parameters and correlating with subsurface conditions to support troubleshooting and reduce operational uncertainties.
5. Preparing documentation such as DDR, time/depth curves, geological markers, lessons learned, and post-well reports for both operational and consultancy deliverables.
6. Participating in field visits and audits to observe drilling practices, HSE performance, and equipment condition in line with client and consultancy requirements.
7. Collaborating across disciplines (geoscience, reservoir, drilling, and commercial teams) to deliver integrated consultancy outputs for clients.
8. Exploring digital tools and technologies (AI/ML, advanced analytics) to enhance drilling operations and strengthen consultancy services in subsurface-drilling integration.
