For the first time, GE Indonesia is bringing GE’s Garage to Indonesia. GE’s Garage is a collaborative learning event, with the ultimate goal to introduce the latest technology that will change the future of industry, and drive the spirit of innovation amongst the next generation. GE's Garage will be hosted in August 18 to 23, 2015. GE created the Garages program in 2012 to reinvigorate America’s interest in invention, innovation, and manufacturing. Programs have included custom projects, curated speaker sessions and workshop amidst a fully equipped lab, including hardware such as CNC mills, laser cutters, 3D printers, Arduino kits and much more. At GE’s Garages, participants will work with technical experts and partners to learn more about advanced manufacturing processes, and bring their wildest ideas to life. We have brought GE’s Garage to Indonesia for the first time ever and we have the pleasure to invite you to join us for the opening of this exciting event in Jakarta and see how technology is about to change the future of manufacturing.

The Garage event will feature series of basic workshops on 3D printing and design, curated speakers session and start up showcase sessions. This will be a great learning opportunity for the students, teachers, and PJI mentors to inspire them of the different ways to create and innovate as well as to grow businesses. This is also a great opportunity to incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, And Maths) into your program in the future, which is also the direction where GE wants to focus on in our Citizenship activities. These sessions are open for public at all level of understanding about 3D printing and other latest technology in the manufacturing industry.

We have the pleasure to host engineering students from ITB to join us on a private tour of the Garage in Jakarta and see how technology is about to change the future of manufacturing. In addition, ITB students can interact directly with Indonesian community of makers and innovators, particularly about technology and brilliant innovation.

• 10:00-12:00: STEAM Workshop: Computer Program Development, Basic Coding for beginners*
• 12:00-14:00: BREAK
• 14:00-17:00: Social Enterprisee Networking & MeetUp: Education and Technology
• 16:00-18:00: Generic Workshop: IoT Hardware, Smart DIY Motors
• 16:00–18:00: STEAM Workshop: Computer Program Development, Basic Coding for beginners
• 18:00-21:00: Startup Meetup: Human Centered Design

*Private workshop classes specially hosted for ITB students. Students will be asked to pick one out of two hands-on workshops to participate in. Maximum capacity of 20 people for workshops.
