What you model today could be built tomorrow. As a CAD Engineer, you do more than turn designs into 3D models. You actively contribute to how complex dredging, marine and infrastructure projects are built, using your technical insight to develop innovative solutions, identify potential issues and challenge assumptions when needed. Based in Abu Dhabi, you’ll play a key role in international projects worth hundreds of millions of euros. Projects such as the Manila International Airport, the Duqm offloading jetty in Oman, and the Suez Canal.
Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as a CAD Engineer at Boskalis if you have:
• A bachelor's degree or relevant background in civil engineering, surveying or a similar field.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D with Subassembly Composer and Navisworks and of CAD-BIM standards, regulations and guidelines.
• Experience in maritime or dredging projects is valuable.
• A proactive and communicative approach and a good command of English.
• A willingness to travel regularly within Europe, the Middle East and the Far East when needed.
• Developing 3D designs and reviewing 3D models using software and other tools, and coordinating these models for practical implementation.
• Reviewing drawing specifications, referencing designs and other project information to determine what needs to be modelled at each construction phase.
• Identifying interfaces, risks and opportunities in the project model and contributing to practical, constructible solutions.
• Advising and supporting design and project teams on technical questions, sharing your ideas and challenging assumptions when something does not appear safe, practical or achievable.
• Working closely with colleagues across disciplines and around the world, while continuing to develop your technical expertise and knowledge.
