Scientific Analyst

Verdant Bioscience Pte Ltd, based in Singapore with operations in North Sumatra, Indonesia, is dedicated to advancing sustainable oil palm production through innovative plantation science. Focused on significantly increasing oil palm yields—while contributing to environmental sustainability through developing oil palm F1 Hybrid varieties—Verdant aims to reduce deforestation, greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance food supply globally. General Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Agricultural Science, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience in relevant scientific fields (e.g., breeding, molecular techniques, trial coordination, or agricultural practices).
  • Strong understanding of scientific methodologies, experimental design, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant scientific software (e.g., R, SAS, GenStat).
  • Proven accuracy, data integrity, and scientific rigor, with experience in research or data analysis a plus. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in both laboratory and field settings.

We are looking for a Scientific Analyst to provide essential support for our research programmes. This role involves coordinating trials, managing logistics, analysing data, and ensuring scientific rigor in all research activities. You will be central to advancing oil palm research by supporting multidisciplinary teams across various trial types.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistics and execution of research trials across scientific areas.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting using scientific tools.
  • Prepare and review scientific documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain organized records to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Liaise with teams, partners, and the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) for effective communication.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, KPIs, and report progress.
  • Ensure confidentiality, ethical standards, and traceability of all trial activities.
