The PPIC Specialist is responsible for designing, executing, and monitoring the master production schedule and managing inventory levels to meet customer demand. This role acts as the vital bridge between the Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, and Production teams, ensuring maximum factory efficiency, optimal inventory turnover, and zero production downtime.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in a PPIC role within a manufacturing or factory environment.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar).
Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data modeling).
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Just-In-Time (JIT) principles is a major plus.
Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and the stress-tolerance needed to handle fast-moving factory dynamics.
Develop the Master Production Schedule (MPS): Translate sales forecasts and incoming orders into actionable daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
Capacity Planning: Analyze machinery, labor, and shift capacities to optimize output and prevent operational bottlenecks.
Agile Troubleshooting: Quickly adjust production schedules in response to machine breakdowns, material delays, or urgent order changes.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Calculate the exact raw materials and packaging components needed to support the production schedule.
Stock Optimization: Maintain optimal safety stock levels to prevent stockouts while minimizing holding costs and dead stock.
Warehouse Coordination: Partner with warehouse teams to monitor inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock audits.
Procurement Alignment: Issue timely material requests to the purchasing team to ensure raw materials arrive precisely when needed.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key manufacturing metrics, including production achievement rates, material variances, and delivery delays.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement processes to reduce waste, shorten lead times, and lower production costs.
