Description

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Internship program offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in warehouse operations. Interns will work closely with our experienced warehouse staff, learning the ins and outs of inventory management, order fulfilment, and logistics.

Project : Warehouse management with barcode scanner

Requirement

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant educational program (e.g., Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information technology).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Basic computer skills (experience with warehouse management systems is a plus).

Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.

This is 3 months internship extendable to 6 months.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

System Design and Integration:

Collaborate with IT and systems integration teams to design a robust warehouse management system (WMS) that incorporates barcode scanning functionality.

Ensure seamless integration with existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Barcode System Configuration:

Select appropriate barcode types (e.g., QR codes, UPC codes) based on inventory types and scanning requirements.

Develop a labeling system for all inventory items, storage locations, and processes.

Inventory Data Migration:

Oversee the migration of existing inventory data into the new WMS.

Ensure accuracy and integrity of data during the transfer process.

Pilot Testing and Quality Assurance:

Conduct pilot tests in a controlled environment to ensure system functionality and reliability.

Identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks discovered during testing.

Full-Scale Implementation:

Roll out the barcode scanning system across the entire warehouse.

Monitor the implementation process and provide support to resolve any issues promptly.
