A. About Us
Founded in 2004, PT. ASI Pudjiastuti Aviation (Susi Air) holds the Air Operator Certificate AOC 135-028. Susi Air started in December 27th 2004, with 2 aircraft based out of Medan, in response to the earthquake and tsunami which destroyed large parts of the Aceh area. After initially providing charter flights for aid organizations, in 2006 Susi Air started to develop scheduled routes. The company has since developed significantly outside of Medan to reach now both extremity of the archipelago of Indonesia operating from Sabang to Merauke. Currently, Susi Air operates a fleet of 47 aircrafts out of 21 bases and is known to be the second biggest operator of Cessna Grand Caravan in the world.

B. The History of Susi Air
2004 Ibu Susi Pudjiastuti started with 2 Cessna Grand Caravan C208B purchased for marine product delivery purpose. Susi Air was the first to land in ground zero to provide help to the victims of the Aceh tsunami.
2005 Susi Air's first regular flights from Medan to Meulaboh, Silangit, Aek Godang and the surrounding areas.
2007 Acquisition of additional 6 Cessna Grand Caravan C208B.
2009 In addition to purchasing four Cessna Grand Caravan C208B, Susi Air also purchased a Piaggio P-180 Avanti and a Helicopter Agusta Grand A109S.
2010 Largest expansion of the fleet to date: 2 Pilatus Porter PC-6, 2 Piaggio Avanti P-180, 1 Air Tractor AT-802, 1 Agusta Koala A119Ke.
2013 The first pioneer flight by Susi Air.
2017 Purchase of 1 unit LET 410 UVP-E20, this aircraft is a 18 seats and the largest aircraft owned by Susi Air.
2020 Susi Air continued to run business operations despite being affected by COVID-19 due to a strong adaptation and new adaptation. The airline operated the first COVID-19 medivac in Indonesia from Ambon to Jakarta and was one of the only airlines to provide COVID-19 medivac services.
2022 During COVID-19 Susi Air focused on the restructure of the company and revitalize the fleet. Susi Air was the only airline recruiting pilot in June 2021 when all other airlines were laying off their crew. This effort brought the company to be the major Perintis operator with 85% of the market.

C. Corporate Management
Susi Air provides flight services to routes that are not operate by other airlines in remote areas. To meet this need, the company provides for all Susi Air crews’ ground crews, pilots and safety standards the best training.


D. Susi Air Flight Training Centre
There are only six of these simulators in the world; five of them are in America and one in Susi Air! Training in a simulator has several advantages such as testing all emergency procedures that cannot be done when direct training with a real plane. Pilots may alter everything on the simulator, including weather conditions, runway types, and aircraft technical issues.
• Full Motion Cessna Caravan Simulator and C172 Garmin 1000 Simulator.
• Full & Part Time instructors - all current Susi Air Pilots.
• Line Training Captain on Base.
• Captains upgrade at a minimum of 1,000 hours flight experience and after company assessment and management interview.
• Multiple evaluation process of Co-pilots for Upgrade to Captain.
• Regular evaluation for Papua Mountain progression.
• 12 month recurrence check in Simulator and plane in Pangandaran.
• Avanti, Helicopter & LET 410 External Training (Flight Safety, CATC, Leonardo).

E. Papua
Operations are regarded as a specialist area for Susi Air with respect to progression to the various levels of company-graded airstrips.
